I was born in Upper Darby, PA and moved to Schenectady, NY when I was 8. I lived there until 1980 when I moved to Naples, FL. My husband, our two children, Alexander and Clinton and I lived there for 27 years. My husband and I recently moved to Blue Ridge, GA. We said “Someday we will live here” and our “Someday” was July, 2006.

I have had my hypnosis and healing business for over 7 years. In 2004, my good friend and business partner, Bill Sklodowski, and I opened The Creative Awareness Center, a spiritual center for personal self development and empowerment. We offered sessions, workshops and seminars by area practitioners. I am also an Abstract Expressionist Artist. Connecting with Spirit I paint with my hands on canvas to offer messages of healing and inspiration. My artwork is featured in two art galleries.

Here is my story and how I started in hypnosis.

As a child I grew up in an extremely dysfunctional and abusive family environment. I, along with siblings and mother, were abused physically, emotionally, mentally and sexually by my father from 2 months old to 16 years old.

I also was very connected to Spirit as a child and could talk with the plants and animals, “knew” things yet my family was very fearful of me. I was constantly taunted by my siblings and shut off my gifts in order to survive.

As I grew up, I did my best to live a “normal” life yet my past had a definite affect on me. When things were great, I had “no problems.” When they were “bad” I could not help myself. I continually sabotaged myself and several relationships until I met my husband in 1980. My angel! His love and affection began to change my life yet there was so much deep hurt and pain to work through that it at times it over-shadowed our love and relationship. We married and had our two beautiful children, Alexander and Clinton, now 24 and 20. It was challenging to raise children when I was such a hurt and confused child within, without a positive parental influence to guide me. I did the best I could, coping the best way I knew how until one day I was about to hurt my oldest child. I know the angels interjected because it was at that moment that I knew that I needed help and could not hide from the pain that I had tried to ignore. That was 1994 and my whole life started to change. It was then that I started to deal honestly with how the pain of childhood was directing my life.

With hypnosis, energy work and counseling I came to understand the pain and hurt my father was living with having been a child of abuse himself and living in extreme poverty. That my mother’s inability to protect us was due to her insecurities and fears and that she was as much a victim as me. I learned about forgiveness, understanding and acceptance. I began to remember that we are spiritual beings having human experiences to assist each other. Most importantly, I learned how to forgive and accept myself so that I could be free to love and be me so that I could love others. I was also re-introduced to mediumship, intuitiveness and energy work.

I am proud to say that I am now good friends with my father and had the opportunity to help him to understand his life from a different perspective. He is now 91 years old and doing well.

Even though I learned so much in my hypnosis sessions, I still worked at jobs that I “thought” was expected of me – teacher’s assistant and property management assistant. That was until I had a nervous breakdown which was one of the most spiritual moments of my life. I was finally getting it – I had to be me and do what I needed to do – assist people to learn to empower themselves through understanding, forgiveness and acceptance from their past relationships and events in their life.

In 2000 I went to Omni Hypnosis Training Center, De Land, FL. In 2001 I took a master hypnotist course with Mottin and Johnson Institute of Hypnosis, Brighton, MO. Yet my greatest teachers have been my clients during their sessions.

I offer Interactive Hypnosis, Past Life Regression, Intuitive and Channeled Guidance, Mediumship, Energy Healing, and Heart, Hands & Healing Art – a program where participants paint with hands to create their inner masterpiece on canvas. I utilize this eclectic array of services to assist my clients to be the best they want and deserve to be.

I am also a motivational speaker offering the topic, Making Lemonade…Finding the Gift in Everything. As within sessions, I assist them to understand that each and every person is really an angel in their life, loving them so much to be whatever they need them to be to assist them upon their spiritual journey. That there is a gift in everything we experience and how to discover it.

I am an active member of The National Guild of Hypnotists and Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association.
